Remembered as a Servant

Moses' deeds followed him from Exodus to Revelation. How long after you're gone will your deeds follow you?

Revelation 15:3 (NIV®)

They held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb.

One of the things that intrigues me about this verse is that Moses is remembered all the way over in the book of Revelation. They are singing about him in the throne room of God! Think of all the things they could say about him: “Moses, the guy who parted the sea; Moses, the man who talked to God in a burning bush; Moses, the guy who brought water out of a rock; Moses, the one who led a nation out of slavery.” Moses’ days under the sun are long gone, but he’s still being remembered as a “servant of God.” How about you? How do you want to be remembered in the ages to come?

Father in heaven, I want to live for You today in ways that will cause me to be known as Your servant in the ages to come.  Thank You that when the strength is gone from my body and my days under the sun are done, I can still be a part of Your purposes. Thank You for the glorious eternity You have promised to all who believe in Jesus for salvation. In His name I pray, amen.
