Receive His Energy …
As we continue on the theme of intimacy and growth, here's something a little different, off the beaten path. Let's simply pray and ask the Lord to strengthen us, walk alongside us, and guide us.
Because the Word of God is clear when it says, “‘Without Me you can do nothing.’” (John 15:5) This is why prayer is so important when it comes to growing in the Lord.
We invite you to pray this prayer …
“Lord, You are the vine, the source of my life and all my energy. Without You, I’m nothing and can do nothing. Help me by Your Holy Spirit to remain firmly attached to You.
Your thoughts are so much higher than mine, and sometimes I don’t truly know what it means to “abide in You.” But by faith, I want to continue to seek You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my strength.
I want to live for You. Live a life that bears fruit, good fruit for my family, my friends, my neighbors, my coworkers, and everyone I come into contact with.
Sometimes, I exhaust myself trying to do things in my own strength and by my own means. Jesus, keep me close to You! I know that without You, I can do nothing. I don’t want to exhaust myself...I want to live in a place of rest, the rest of Your victory. With all my being, I want to be a vessel of blessing for Your glory. Today, I choose to draw my strength from You and You alone.
I love You, Jesus, my Lord!”
The prayer today was inspired by the verse that says, “‘I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.’” (John 15:5)
