Then her family decided to bring even more blessing by sponsoring that child with World Vision.
At her church, World Vision’s Global 6K Walk for Water on May 6, 2017 and the next day’s Global Sponsorship Sunday were days to celebrate the blessings they enjoy and to be a blessing to others.
The amazing global 6K saw 28,000 people in 18 countries go the distance -- 6K -- for women and children who struggle to walk that far every day to bring home water.
The global effort raised enough money to bring clean water to 34,000 people and sponsorship to support thousands of children.
However, 319 million people in sub-Saharan Africa alone lack access to improved sources of water. For them, just getting enough water to cook, drink, and clean, consumes enormous amounts of energy.
World Vision’s water work hasn’t crossed the finish line yet!
