I felt falsely accused and labeled by my friend’s words in an email.
To make matters worse, another friend was copied in the email, which just about sent me over the edge. Everything in me wanted to hit “reply” and use the same approach in my response. But in my heart, I knew that wouldn’t be a good or Godly response. It would be an emotional reaction.
I would be re-acting to the tone and approach of the email and the outcome wouldn’t be good. I only know that’s what would happen from all the other times I’ve reacted and regretted it.
I’m trying to learn from my re-action regret by applying the wise words God gives us in the Bible when He says: be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
