Pursue Wisdom

He wants us to discover true wisdom, because that is only gained when we look up to Him.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom (James 3:13).

In a world that celebrates the intellectually elite and honors the scholastically superior, intelligence is measured in a number of ways. But what if our understanding of intelligence is just a slice of the real deal?

There's an enormous difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is great. But what God has in store for our lives depends on so much more than the collection of facts and figures. He wants us to discover true wisdom, because that is only gained when we look up to Him. And when we pursue wisdom more than knowledge, we can discover what true intellect is all about.

Thank God for the ability He has given you to learn and understand. Then pray for discernment and wisdom to use the knowledge to glorify Him in what you do.

"You learn something new every day." Today, make it your goal to not only learn something new, but also to do something new. Out of humility, perform one random act of kindness for a stranger.
