We should start practicing for heaven now.

We should start practicing for heaven now. Our future is a major part of Christian ethics. The future should be influencing how we live now. A direct relationship exists between the present and the future for the Christian. Paul the apostle said it this way in 1 Thessalonians 3.

Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you; and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints (1 Thess 3:11-13).

Notice that in verse 12 the Lord Jesus Christ is called upon to increase our love for one another and for all people. The spiritual life is always dependent upon the Trinity. Their work in our lives makes the spiritual difference. With the overwhelming help of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, our hearts will be established at the time of the rapture or the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his Saints. Those who are already in heaven will return with Christ to participate in the glorious transformation he will bring upon living believers.

So, we should live our lives with the knowledge of the return of Christ and our future home.
