Regarding their children, prayer is essential in the life of a parent. As moms, we need to be earnestly praying to God for our children.

Acts 12: 5

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

Prayer is essential in the life of a parent, regarding their children.  We, as moms, need to be earnestly praying to God for our children, everyday.  The pressures and temptations that our children face today are greater than any other time.  Our children are constantly being tempted, seduced, brainwashed and we need to be on our knees, lifting them up in prayer each day.

Peter was in prison, in chains, but the church did not give up on him.  God heard the prayers of the church and rescued Peter from prison.  As a mom, you have the opportunity to lift your child up to your Heavenly Father and pray for him.  Ask God for protection over your child, to keep him/her safe from harm's way.  When praying for your child, ask God to reveal to you what specifically your child needs from you as a parent.  Pray for a great friend for your son or daughter, for Godly mentors, and for teachers that will invest in your child’s life.  Ask God for wisdom as you parent your child.  Ask God to open up your eyes to what your child truly needs.

Prayer: Father, Thank You for the blessing of my children.  God, I lift my child up to You and I ask that You cover my children with Your love and protection.  Lord, You know exactly what my children need and I pray that You will meet them where they are.  I ask in the name of Jesus, that You would reveal yourself to my child and show them Your deep love for them.  Open up the eyes of the youth and reveal to them the enemy’s ways.  God, give me wisdom as I navigate these parenting years.
