Pray for Girls to Go to School

In sub-Saharan Africa, mostly women and girls gather water for the household. Girls are often tired, late, or absent from class.

Women and girls are responsible for collecting water in 71 percent of households throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Girls in Twachiyanda, Zambia used to walk three miles round trip on this chore, often missing important class time. Now that their community has clean water, they have more time in school.

“Lord, just as You have given girls in Twachiyanda more time in class and to study, allow other girls to also access clean water close to home.”
