Pleading Eyes

Nbobo Barre holds her daughter as she waits at an arrivals center for people who’ve fled to Baidoa, Somalia, because of drought.

Nbobo looks on with hope that she will soon get help. She is among the new arrivals in Baidoa who were waiting to get a place to stay.

In Somalia, tens of thousands of people have left their homes in rural areas and moved to towns in search of food, water, and health services due to the severe drought that has hit the country.

World Vision is providing food assistance, malnutrition screening and treatment, water, and health care to children and families in need.
