None of These Things Move Me

Description

If you can come to the place of absolute commitment to Jesus, it doesn’t matter if you move only one thing or if you go out and change the whole world. It doesn’t matter because God will know.

When our own interests get in the way, the going out of the Gospel is hindered. Often when we look to make ourselves successful in God’s work, our ambition destroys His work. Secret motivations for doing things creep in.

Regardless of how right and legitimate our dreams may be, reaching the lost world with the Gospel requires giving up our own ambitions. It requires looking away from our ambitions to Jesus and letting Him be the motivation for all that we do.

Can you be one who says, “Lord, it doesn’t matter what I do as long as I am doing what You told me to do. If I am supposed to be just cleaning the floor or just holding up somebody’s hand that is okay because it is what You told me to do.”

It is amazing how much can be done if we don’t care who gets the credit. If we don’t care what title we get or what place we are put in, it is amazing what God can do with us.

If you can come to the place of absolute commitment to Jesus, it doesn’t matter if you only move one thing or if you go out and change the whole world. It doesn’t matter because God knows.

You may be the screw that holds everything together behind the scenes. If the Gospel goes forth, that is all that matters.
