No Judging Zone
Description
John 7:24
Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.
Do you feel judged as a mom? Do you feel as if people think you are not doing a good job in parenting your child? A lot of times we feel harshly judged because we measure judgment according to how we judge others. If you are a critical person by nature, then you, by default, will believe that people are critical against you. When we judge others, it is really our own insecurities lashing out at us. When we feel insecure about ourselves, we look at others and begin to criticize them to make ourselves feel better.
Jesus tells us to stop judging. He is the only true judge. Jesus looks at the heart of a person and He alone can see true motives or someone's sincerity. If you find yourself criticizing others in your heart, ask for forgiveness today. As you go about your day, be aware of your words and actions...then think to yourself, are my words judging or kind? Jesus never lowered His standards, but He always executed everything in love.
Prayer
Father, Please help me to stop looking at others and finding fault in what they do. Open my eyes to love those around me. Help me to celebrate them and what they are doing in life, even if it’s not the way I would do something. God, take away my critical nature and replace it with Your love. Only You can judge. Gently remind me of this truth throughout my day.
