No Fear

God does not want us to be fearful. When we are fearful, we are not trusting in Him.

Ezekiel 2:6

And you, son of man, do not be afraid...

Fear, is a powerful emotion.  Fear can twist your mind into believing things that are not even true . We, as moms, can become fearful of so many things: sickness, evil in our world, safety of our children, social media, internet, education, nutrition and even the future for our children.  But, God does not want us to be fearful.  When we are fearful, we are not trusting in Him.  If we allow fear to take over and control our lives, then we take our eyes off of God and put them onto our circumstances. God is bigger than anything we will ever encounter and He will direct us in the way we should go.

God commands us throughout the Bible to not be afraid.  When we feel fear coming over us, we must renew our minds with God’s truth, “do not be afraid."  Our trust is in a sovereign God, a God who created the entire universe.  Our trust is in One that is very capable of handling our fear.  Choose trust over fear.  Trust in God will empower you, fear over your circumstances will make you weak and vulnerable to Satan’s attacks.

Father, Even when our world seems to be spinning out of control, thank You that I do not need to fear.  Thank You that You are bigger than this world and You have already overcome the world.  God, help me, to keep my eyes focused on You.  Thank You for Your love and direction in my life and the lives of my children.
