No Condemnation in Christ

Christ has endured our condemnation and has set us free from the Law so we may enjoy a living relationship with the Father!

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death (Rom 8:1-2).

In Romans 7, Paul mentioned the Law of sin—it is the reality that law enflames the sin within us. He also mentioned the law of death that to embrace the law was to lead to relational death or a non-relationship with God. While saying the Law was spiritual, just and good, the Apostle also said that to embrace the Law instead of embracing the grace of God in Christ and a living relationship with the Father was to enter slavery, and to lose a vital experience with God the Father. How come? Grace has given us our identity in Christ as the absolute basis for our relationship with God. If instead we focus on the Law and build our relationship to God on that, the Holy Spirit will not bless and He will leave us alone to face the flesh and sin within, and we will fall and fail. The Law of sin and death will trap us.

But we have been delivered from the Law so that there is no condemnation and failure for those in Christ Jesus. We are not in a system ultimately condemning us, but we are in a relationship wherein no condemnation exists. Christ has endured our condemnation and set us free of the Law to a living relationship with the Father!
