Never Give Up
Galatians 6:9 (NIV®)
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
“If.” You should mentally circle that little word because it changes the meaning of the whole sentence: We will reap a harvest IF we don’t give up. If you determine that God is the resolution to something in your life, and you begin to wait on Him, you’ll be amazed at how it will give you a singleness of purpose. You’ll be able to push things to the periphery that have been at the center of your life. Just as you gain physical strength when you reach the point of physical fatigue, you’ll gain spiritual strength when you reach the point of spiritual fatigue. So if that’s where you find yourself today, it’s because God has chosen to strengthen you, not to punish you. So keep going! Don’t give up!
Heavenly Father, I want to receive the harvest You have promised to those who do not give up. Give me strength to persevere, patience to wait, and determination to continue looking for Your resolution to the challenges in my life. I praise You for Your faithfulness to me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
