Never Changing

Christ never changes! We can count on Him 100 percent, and He is our anchor in life.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

It is a full blessing that Jesus in the same —He never changes. We live in a world where everything seems to change all the time —nothing seems to stay the same. Isn’t it a relief that we love and serve a Savior who is always the same?  Think about it: Christ never changes. Just stop for one second and try to take in the magnitude of that statement…Christ NEVER changes.  Since He is the same, He is our anchor, our North Star, our compass in life.  When we feel tossed and thrown about, we can reach out to Christ and He will bring us back to His center. Christ never changes, so what He talked about 2,000 years ago, still works.  His word is consistent just like Him.  What an amazing gift this is for our lives.

Because Christ is the same, He brings order to our lives in a world where order is a fleeting concept.  Christ brings peace to our lives where we feel disharmony.  Christ brings love even when we feel hate.  Christ never changes!  We can count on Him 100%, and He is our anchor in life. People change, governments change, finances change, and we even change…but God is constant. Rest in that thought for the rest of the day.

Father, Thank You for being the same. I can depend on You and know that what You say is true and doesn’t change with the times. Your constant love, grace and mercy are what I need in my life, everyday. Thank you!  Remind me, as I go about my day and chase after things that are not constant, that You are the only One that never changes.
