Nepal: Three Months - Getting Better

In April 2015, a devastating earthquake shook Nepal -- destroying lives, homes and hope for many. Yet recovery has been encouraging.

Thanks to World Vision donors, after six months of relief and recovery:

  • 229,000 people affected by the earthquake were assisted by World Vision
  • 17,000 families received emergency shelter kits
  • 96,000 people benefited from restoration of water and sanitation services.
  • 8,200 children attended Child-Friendly Spaces and temporary learning centers

For six months more, World Vision is boosting recovery in 10 districts with long-term improvements in education, health, livelihoods, shelter, water, and child protection.
