Eunice Muhingili demonstrates how to fix a broken borehole in Siamabbonka Village, Zambia.

Eunice calls herself a pump doctor. Five years ago she was selected from her village to learn to repair borehole wells.

Eunice says Jesus gave her the courage to take on this challenge, an unusual job for a woman. But after she learned to fix the boreholes, she had trouble convincing villagers to set aside money for future repairs.

World Vision staff in 2012 presented a week long training with "Jesus the Source of Living Water," a book of devotionals about water. Eunice was able to incorporate those teachings in how she communicated with villagers, explaining how water is a gift from God. “Now it’s very easy for me,” she says.
