More in the End

Description

You can’t outgive God. Give God all you have—and you will end up with more!

If it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Romans 12:8

Jesus will more than meet your needs … as you meet the needs of others.

In John 6:12, after five thousand people had been fed, Jesus said to His disciples: “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” Was Jesus just being environmentally friendly? Or was He giving them a final lesson?

When they’d gathered all the leftovers, they filled twelve baskets! Twelve. Get the connection? There’s no coincidence or mistake that there was obviously one basket of bread for each of the twelve disciples.

Are you afraid that if Jesus asks you to reach out to help others and you give Jesus everything, you’ll somehow come up short? That you’ll end up with less?

Listen to me: you can’t outgive God. Remember that the disciples had more in the end than they had in the beginning.

Give God all you have — and you will end up with more!
