Michael Jackson, Jesus & the Gospel

Description

Pastor Dewey Gray asks you to imagine what it would be like for Jesus to live through you, just for one day.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I was born in 1971, so for me it’s Michael Jackson. I’ve often imagined what it would be like if Michael Jackson, before he got a little strange, would live His life through me. Wow!

I can see myself moonwalking to the song Billy Jean. Come on! But the reality is this: I can’t ever dance or sing like Michael Jackson. He was the embodiment of talent.

Imagine this with me:

What would it be like for Jesus the Christ to live through you, just for a day?

Can you imagine how you would love people?

Can you imagine the wisdom you would have to make decisions?

Can you imagine how the world would be different?

Guess what?

You do not have to imagine.

“Why?” you ask.

Because biblical Christianity is this:

The life that Jesus lived on earth for thirty-three years in the past is the life He now wants to live in and through you in the present.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 ESV)
