Maximum Provision

Romans 8:32 (NIV®)

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

God has been incredibly extravagant toward us, and it’s unfortunate that we often don’t imagine Him in those terms. We act like extravagance is a bad thing. Sometimes when I talk to people about God’s provision, they say, “But God might not want me to have that.” If He didn’t withhold His Son from you, what would He withhold? We worship an extravagant God, and what He’s done toward us is not minimalistic in its nature, presentation, or scope. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.” What a generous God we serve!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great love for me. Thank You for providing Your own Son as a sacrifice that I might live in freedom and with joy in the earth and for eternity. Thank You for providing for my needs. I praise You that You are not distant or aloof, but attentive, watching over the details and circumstances of my life. Open my eyes to see and my heart to understand all that You have for me. I will praise You all of my days. In Jesus’ name, amen.
