Make Time for Yourself

Description

Life is busy, life is messy, and life with children can suck the life right out of you. So, look to God to fill you back up.

Psalms 3:5

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

Who sustains you?  If you are looking to anything other than your Heavenly Father, you may be coming up short.  As moms, we must be refueled.  We give of ourselves 24/7, and therefore we must have someone pouring into us.  Jesus says that He is living water and if we go to Him those waters will flow out of us. (John 7:38) Instead of walking around depleted and parched empty vessels, we as moms could be revived, restored —with waters flowing out of us, constantly filling our empty cups. In order to live that lifestyle we must go to our Heavenly Father.

God knows you are empty, He knows you are tired and worn down.  Allow Him to sustain you today. Cry out to God and acknowledge that you need Him.  Ask God to fill you up with His living waters.  You may not be going through a crisis right now…it may just be life.  Life is busy, life is messy, and life with children can suck the life right out of you. So, look to God to fill you back up.

When you tell God you are in need of Him, He is always ready and able to meet your need. But, so many times as moms, we don’t ask for help because we tell ourselves we can do it.  There is no need, however, to carry this weight on our own.  God is waiting —waiting on us to open the door to our life (Revelation 3:20). He wants to fill us up with His son Jesus.  We are His children and He wants to take care of us, just like we want to take care of our children and meet their needs.  All you have to do is ask.

Prayer

Father, Thank You for loving me so well.  God, I am asking today for You to meet me where I am and meet my every need.  Father, I need rest, refueling and to be filled with your living water.  Fill me, revive me.
