A tour of Luke 24 with Ken Boa.
As He was teaching in the temple area, Jesus told His disciples not only about the coming destruction of the temple and the city of Jerusalem, but also about the signs that would precede His second advent. At the Passover meal in the upper room, the Lord spoke of the new covenant in His blood and once again predicted His betrayal, death, and coming kingdom. After His struggle in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, tried, and crucified.
Luke 24 concludes the narrative with the fulfillment of the glorious resurrection predicted in the Hebrew Bible and promised by Jesus. In the beautiful story of the road to Emmaus, the resurrected Jesus reveals Himself to two disciples after explaining to them the Messianic prophecies of Scripture.
READING of LUKE 24
Lord, thank You for fulfilling the prophecies that the Messiah would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations.
