Luke 20

A tour of Luke 20 with Ken Boa.

After cleansing the temple by driving out those who were exploiting it for financial gain, the Lord encountered the opposition of the chief priests, scribes, elders, and Sadducees as they sought to discredit Him with challenging questions. They questioned His authority, tried to snare Him on the issue of paying taxes to Caesar, and attempted to defeat Him with a theological dilemma concerning the resurrection. After Jesus refuted His opponents on each of these issues, He ended with a challenge of His own concerning their understanding of the Messiah that left them speechless.

Lord, I marvel at the poise, brilliance, courage, wisdom, and insight of the Lord Jesus. May I never be so foolish as to question His authority or intentions in my life.
