Will you lose out later because you’re clinging to what you want today? Instead, let go of what you want and claim all He wants to give you.
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. PSALM 63:4 – 5
Are you leaving Jesus out of your plans? Are you excluding Him from your activities? Your business? Your decisions? If so, I wonder if you are a Christian who’s saved but not satisfied? Could it be that, even though you’re assured that your sins are forgiven and you’re going to heaven, you’re pretty much living for yourself?
In the long run, will you be disappointed?
Jesus said, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it” (Matthew 16:25). There’s a depth of satisfaction reserved for those who know Jesus as their Savior and who live their lives, not for themselves, but for Him.
Will you lose out later because you’re clinging to what you want today? Instead, let go of what you want and claim all He wants to give you. You will find the deep, lasting satisfaction that comes from living a life that’s totally surrendered to Him. But you must lose your life — to gain it.
