Look to Heaven

To be with God in Heaven is so worth all of the heartache we endure here on earth.

Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Sometimes thinking about our reward in heaven I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to come; I am super excited about it but it seems so far away it’s hard to grasp the reality of it. The hard part about living this life is remembering that my focus shouldn’t be this life. If I’m knocked down or pushed aside or forgotten by the people who occupy this earth with me, I need to remember that there’s a God in heaven who has prepared a place for me.

And that place will be so worth all of the heartache I may endure while going through my days here on earth.
