Livestock Lifeline

Pastoralists in drought-stricken regions of Ethiopia struggle to save the lives of their cattle — their only source of wealth and income.

A complex hunger crisis driven by drought, conflict and poor governance has left over 22 million people across East Africa in urgent need of water and food.

In Ethiopia, many people travel long distances and dig deep into wet sand to water their cattle. Thousands of livestock are dying due to lack of fodder and water. People are struggling to save lives of such weak and sick animals

In addition to food, water and drugs for people, World Vision is helping livestock owners to keep their cattle alive and healthy.
