Live in the Light
The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. JOHN 1:9
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). His life is literally our light! John 1:5 tells us that this light “shines in the darkness.”
Darkness symbolizes everything that is not light: Untruth. Evil. Sin. Wrongdoing. Injustice. Ignorance. And unbelief. Have you adjusted your spiritual eyes to the dark? Are you content to see just well enough to get along in life?
Some people within the church seem to be sleepwalking when they should be on high alert. Their eyes seem to be blinded, ears deafened, mind numbed, and heart hardened to the light.
We’re teetering on the edge of a giant abyss where time stops and eternity begins. Yet we seem to have succumbed to the darkness, or at least to the murky twilight of living as though this life is all there is or ever will be. It’s time to wake up! It’s time to see the Light! Jesus is coming!
