Listening to the Father's Heart - October 25
Son, I could have come as a king. I could have come with great fanfare. I could have commanded the recognition worthy of a king. But I came as a lowly baby, born in a barn among the animals. I was rejected at the inn, I would be rejected by my own people. I came to earth as a humble child, born to humble parents who would be judged and maligned for a sin they did not commit. This was the cost of bringing my own Son into a world in desperate need of a solution to the wall between me and mankind. I came for you. If you were the only one that needed my salvation, I would have sent my Son just for you. You are worth it. I've called you to share this good news with others.
And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn—Luke 2:7.
