Listening to the Father's Heart - October 24

Description

You may perceive His delays as wasted time; He sees them as preparation. You cannot take bread out of the oven too soon or too late. There IS a perfect timing for everything He is accomplishing.

Son, my delays do not mean I am inactive. When Moses was in the desert 40 years, I was preparing him and a nation for deliverance. When my son Joseph sat alone in that prison cell, I was preparing him to handle a world-saving assignment. When my son John was exiled to Patmos, I was preparing him to receive my vision for the future. You may perceive my delays as wasted time; I see them as preparation. You cannot take bread out of the oven too soon or too late. There IS a perfect timing for everything I am accomplishing. “My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me” (Psalm 31:15).

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to tear, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peaceEcclesiastes 3:1-8.
