Listening to the Father's Heart - May 21

Description

Son, my ultimate purpose for you was not that you perform for me, but for us to know each other and to spend time together.

Today is your birthday, my son. I thought of you way before you were ever born. Your name was written on a white stone in heaven. My plans for you have been established from the beginning of time (Jer 29:11). My ultimate purpose for you was not that you perform for me, but for us to know each other and to spend time together (Jer 9:23). Your works are exciting, and they bless us both, but remember that they are a byproduct of our relationship. I will fulfill your purposes and achieve the desires I have for you (Ps 138:8). I have known from the beginning of time where and when you would live on my earth (Acts 17:26-29; Ps 16:5). So, happy birthday son. Look for some special touches from me today. And by the way, I love what you have become.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.    Jeremiah 1:5

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it. Revelation 2:17

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:20
