Listening to the Father's Heart - March 6
Son, one of the tools you have to defeat the enemy of your soul is praise. Abandoned affection toward me and my Son actually drives back the enemy. Sometimes the very thing that you least feel like doing is the thing that will take you above the dark clouds of your circumstances. When my son David was isolated and alone in the cave, I told him he could not remain there; he had to go to Judah (which means “praise”), symbolizing his need to praise in the midst of his adversity.
Now the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go to the land of Judah.” So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth (1 Samuel 22:5).
