Listening to the Father's Heart - August 31

Description

Son, I want you to notice something about my Son's prayer life. When confronted by evil in the life of a person, he did not recite long prayers; He simply exercised the authority I had given him over the demons he encountered.

Son, I want you to notice something about my Son's prayer life. When confronted by evil in the life of a person, he did not recite long prayers. He simply exercised the authority I had given him over the demons he encountered. I have given you that same authority to destroy the works of darkness on the earth. "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil" (1 Jn 3:8). Jesus foretold of even greater works than he had done. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father" (Jn 14:12). I know that seems hard to believe because you may have not experienced this or seen it in others. But it is a kingdom truth. And it may yet become your reality and the reality for others as you grow in my grace and power.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”  Mark 9:25-29

Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. Luke 4: 38, 39
