Listening to the Father's Heart - April 18
Description
Son, isn't it a great feeling to have a buddy who is willing to cover your back? Someone who will defend you when others wrongfully judge you? In war, you must have cover when entering enemy lines. We all need brothers and sisters who will walk with us on our journey and stand with us through tough times. Treasure these friendships. But above all else, know that there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. My Son and I are that friend for you. I no longer call you a servant, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friend, for all things that my Son heard from me he has made known to you (Jn 15:15). So my son, remember that we’ve got your back. Be confident in our friendship.
For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Isaiah 52:12
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. John 15:13-14
