Listen, Do, Wait

Is there a gigantic question mark standing in front of you right now?
This “gigantic question mark” could be any number of puzzling situations: Should you date or break up with him or her? Should you take that job? How do you break free from that addiction? How do you convince a wayward child to return? How can you mend that crumbled relationship?
When life throws you big questions and you don’t know what to do, look for direction in God’s word. Seek out Godly counsel. Pray and ask God for supernatural wisdom. Ask Him what your next step is. Inquire about what action you need to take right now.
It could be a huge step or it might be as simple as making a phone call or an appointment. Once you feel God has shown you what you must do, do it. Then wait and watch.
God does work mightily. Sometimes He asks us to take action and join Him in His work. The step of action we take is a visible, outward proof of our faith. With faith as small as a mustard seed, mountains can move.
For many of us, the action step is the easy part. The next step—the waiting—is more difficult to accept. Yet waiting expectantly is what God wants us to do, so we can see Him work in awesome ways on our behalf. Be strong, be courageous, be bold—and amidst all that, be patient and wait. Watch and see what the Lord will do.
