Like a Tree Planted
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers, (Psalm 1:3).
- Thriving: For a plant to thrive, rather than just survive, it must be planted in fertile soil and have the right nutrients, light and water. When it is properly taken care of, that plant can blossom and grow to its full potential.
- The Right Environment: The same is true of our lives. To reach our full potential, we must be “planted by streams of water.” We must root ourselves emotionally, spiritually and relationally in the best environment for growth. That environment is the local church.
Ask God to help you stay planted in the place he wants you to be. Pray for guidance in growing your roots and surrounding yourself in the most nurturing environment.
Get involved in what is happening in the life of the local church. And become an active part in sharing your faith, serving regularly and sowing generously in what God is doing!
