;

Let It Go

Description

If you are holding on to a sin from the past, one that you have confessed to the Lord and asked forgiveness, then let go of it. God has. Let go of it and go on with your life.

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12 NIV

Have you ever done anything wrong? If you don’t feel you have, then this Mustard Seed is certainly not for you. If you can admit your sin, then read on!

Ever feel that God can’t forgive you? Each of us have those sins that seem hard to forgive. There are those thoughts and those actions which would embarrass us for others to know. If we know the God of the Bible well at all then we know we cannot hide our sins from Him. He knows all things.

So, I look at those areas of my life that I know were wrong and I wonder how God could forgive them. Ever feel that way? The purpose of Mustard Seeds is to encourage people in their faith, so I don’t mean to be a discouragement today, but I won’t you to dig deep down in your life. What’s the worst thing you ever did? Do you remember? Of course you do. You can’t forget it, can you?

Guess what! If you are a Christian, if you have accepted the free gift of grace, the sacrifice Jesus paid for that sin on the Cross, then God has forgotten it. He has thrown it into the “sea of forgetfulness”. Our verse today says that He has removed our sin “as far as the east is from the west”. I can’t measure that distance. Can you?

If you are holding on to a sin from the past, one that you have confessed to the Lord and asked forgiveness, then let go of it. God has. Let go of it and go on with your life. God wants to use you and you are holding baggage that gets in the way from being all He wants you to be. Satan will try to remind you of the sin, telling you how unworthy you are in God’s eyes. God, on the other hand, can’t even remember it!

Let it go, dear friend, let it go!
