Leanings

Description

If we cooperate with God, we’ll live abundantly. If we don’t, we’ll find destruction. So lean toward God.

Psalm 37:27 (NIV®)

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever.

God is a good God. He’s brought benefits far beyond whatever we have invested or entrusted to Him. And yet we struggle with questions about which way we will lean. If we cooperate with God, we will thrive and flourish. If we cooperate with evil, we will struggle and wither. If we cooperate with God, He’ll bring peace and contentment. If we resist Him, we’ll experience turmoil and dissatisfaction. If we give first place to Jesus, we will mature and be more responsible. If we don’t, we’ll become increasingly self-absorbed. If we cooperate with God, we’ll live abundantly. If we don’t, we’ll find destruction. When you’re faced with a decision about which way to lean, think about the results of each response. It will give you a life perspective that is very helpful.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I want to cooperate with You. I want to please You and honor You with my life. Holy Spirit, guide me as I go through this day. Help me to make decisions that will benefit me and others, decisions that will profit the Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, amen
