What are your "why" questions?
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (JOHN 11:25 – 26)
Have you ever cried out, “God, don’t You see my broken heart? Why don’t You do something? Do You care?”
Or have you ever prayed, “I just don’t understand why You allowed that to happen”? And, “God, why did You do that?”
What are your why questions?
Outside her brother’s tomb, Martha cried out, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:21). As Jesus wept with Martha, with her tears on His face, He challenged her to believe. “Your brother will rise again,” He said (v. 22).
In other words, “Martha, put your faith in Me. Trust Me when you don’t understand why. I have a greater purpose in mind than just healing your brother. I plan to raise him from the dead!” And Jesus did!
Lay your why questions at the feet of Jesus and trust Him when you don’t understand. Trust Him!
