Keep Sunday Special

Description

Is there any reason you can’t set aside a day of rest? Find your rest in Him. Enjoy inner peace and quiet. Don’t miss God’s blessing!

In six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (EXODUS 20:11)

When God finished creating the earth, He looked around and saw all that He had made, and on the seventh day … He rested.

Isaiah 58:13–14 says, “If you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD’S holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way …, then you will find your joy in the LORD.” Is there any reason you can’t set aside a day of rest?

Make a list of what you’re doing on Sunday: shopping, housework, laundry, yard work, phone calls, e-mail, business appointments, office work. Then make a deliberate decision to do it Monday through Saturday. Reserve Sunday for physical and spiritual refreshment.

Set your heart deep in God. Find your rest in Him. Enjoy inner peace and quiet. Don’t miss God’s blessing! Keep Sunday special.
