"Just Kids"

Description

Kids hold some of the greatest potential to lead their peers and make a difference in our world. It’s imperative to take every opportunity to teach our kids about God and His amazing love.

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Deuteronomy 6: 6-7

THINK

If you take time to watch children you might see silliness, running around, disobedience and think, “They’re just kids.” But the reality is that kids hold some of the greatest potential to lead their peers and make a difference in our world. But the enemy wants us to believe they’re “just kids” because he understands the potential of what our children can become.

Being aware of this helps us to understand the importance of the verse today. It’s imperative to take every opportunity to teach our kids about God and His amazing love. The window of opportunity closes quickly - time is critical. Make sure you are being strategic in teaching your children the power of God’s Word and His plan for their life.Take walks and point out His creation. Pray and teach them about the Bible. Have them at children’s church every weekend so they can hear about God’s love through creative ways.

PRAY

Pray that God will help you see children as more than “just kids,” and that He will use you to reach the next generation with His love.
