I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
It is amazing that through Jesus, we can live a joyful life no matter what our circumstances. In a mom’s world, that makes all the difference. So many times we, as moms, get caught up in the daily routines of our families and joy can tend to escape our days. How can there be joy in laundry, cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, homework, errands, and then the next day start it all over again? Take heart—there can be joy in abundance, through Jesus. Joy can be found in the small things as well as in the big things of life.
The key to finding joy, even in the midst of the small and mundane, is to realize that all those jobs we are doing, we are doing for God’s glory. You as a mom, are taking care of Jesus’ sheep, by doing the laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. You are being the hands and feet of Christ, by loving on His children and always pointing them to Him. Through your love and dedication, God will fill you with joy and fill you with His life.
Prayer
Father, Fill my life with Your joy! Make my days full of You and full of Your love. Open my eyes Lord, so I will see the importance of my role as a mom. When the world de-emphasizes my role as a mom, help me to deafen my ears to that and to open my mind to You and realize the importance of my job as a mom. God, thank You that You see and understand me as a woman and a mother. I love you and am grateful for Your promises!
