Jesus Reigns Supreme
Read: Ephesians 1:1-23
When Jesus came to Earth, He became a servant for us. He gave up heaven and came to us to bridge the gap sin created between us and God. God’s one and only Son descended into the pit, into filth, to rescue us through a gruesome sacrifice on the cross.
Through everything Jesus endured on Earth, He never lost sight of His mission. After Jesus was crucified, God “raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 1:20).
Ephesians 1:21-23 says Jesus is “far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.”
God raised His son above all things, titles, authorities and powers. Nothing is outside or above His power. Jesus “fills everything in every way.” He is Lord of all, and He fills every one of our needs no matter how small they seem.
