Jesus Has Made God Known

God has made Himself visible through Jesus Christ and through Scripture.

No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known. JOHN 1:18

Do you want to really know God? How do we take that first step in God’s direction? Do we go to church every time the door opens? Or do more good works than bad? Walk barefooted over fiery coals? Pray face down five times a day?

If we ever truly know God, it will be because He has made Himself available to be known. First John 1:5 says, “This is the message we have heard … and declare to you: God is light.” The primary characteristic of light is that it makes itself visible. God has made Himself visible to us in two primary ways. First, He has made Himself visible through Jesus Christ. The second way is through Scripture. He has revealed Himself to us through our Bibles.

If you want to know God, then open your Bible and start reading. Take a good look at Jesus. God is exactly like Him.
