Jesus' Birth

Every day is a day to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them (Luke 2:16-17).

The birth of Jesus Christ was the moment that changed the world—the instant that eternity shifted. In an instant, in that manger, the salvation of the world was born. It is a moment that has power and purpose beyond anything we can imagine. And the reality is that through the birth of Jesus, God reconciled us to Himself.

From the moment He was born, word spread about Jesus. And that word continues to echo and reverberate in our world today through the power of the local church. Consider your involvement in His movement here on earth.

Thank God for the gift that is Jesus Christ. Thank Him for the hope and purpose that come through a relationship with Jesus. And ask Him to reveal to you where you can get involved and help ‘spread the word’.

Talk with your friends about how you could get involved in the local church. Because the local church is the avenue for God’s hope, not just on Christmas, but every day of the year.
