“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen”. -Genesis 22:14 (KJV)
Have you had God come through for you at the very last moment of an event thus preventing a disaster? This is what I call the Mount Moriah experience where the nature of God, I AM, becomes Jehovah-jireh, the name memorialized by Abraham when God provided the ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac.
My wife and I were once raising funds for a project. We went into all the savings we had made but we weren’t able to meet the amount needed. We’d placed a deposit on a product we are aiming to buy. The payment condition meant that if we weren’t able to pay the remaining amount on a specified date then we would lose our deposit and also miss the opportunity to buy it.
After trying all avenues and failing to raise the right amount needed, a telephone call came through from a friend I haven’t heard from for over six months. He asked me what I was up to and after telling him my predicament, he offered to pay the amount needed to buy the product we needed before the deadline.
Jehovah is the on-time God and He is neither too early nor too late. Our ways are not His and He always wants to provide for our needs but at the right time.
