It’s Not About Trying Harder
I’d done it again! I was so disappointed in myself and convinced God was just as disappointed in me.
I’d gotten too busy and spending time with God got bumped to the bottom of my commitments. I promised God I’d try harder, but eventually I failed again. Finally, I wondered, “What’s the use in trying?”
Then I was reminded of these words from the Bible “ It is by grace [we] have been saved, through faith and this not from [ourselves], it is the gift of God.” (Eph 2:8)
God doesn't want me trying harder. He wants me turning to HIM sooner. He wants me to tell Him how I feel, and maybe apologize for how I've acted and then turn back to HIS gift of GRACE. We don’t have to earn it, and we can’t lose it even when we blow it.
