It’s Easy to God

Nothing is too difficult for God, and through Jesus, nothing is too difficult for us.

Jeremiah 32:17

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you….”

When a child is learning a new skill, like tying their shoes, the task seems so hard…almost impossible. You, as the mom, model to your child how to tie their shoe. You share with them the little rhyme about going over and under and they think it looks so easy. Then the child tries it and the shoelaces end up in a knotted ball of mess… your child walking away frustrated and with shoelaces flapping on the ground. As you give your pep talk, coaxing them to come back and try it again, your child usually says to you, “It’s so easy for you, but I can’t do it!”

Isn’t it the same way with God and us? God is our heavenly Father, our Dad. He lovingly pulls alongside of us, His children, trying to show us His way, yet we reply to Him, “I can’t! It’s easy for you, but too hard for me.” The good news for all of us is that all of God’s power is in us through His son Jesus. Therefore, nothing is too hard for us, because in Christ we can do ALL things. ( Phil 4:13)

God is sovereign. He is Lord of all, He is all-powerful and in His majestic love for us, He has given us a way to tap into all of His power… Jesus. Nothing is too difficult for God, and through Jesus, nothing is too difficult for us.

Father, Your amazing love is so great I can’t fully comprehend it. But I know, even in my limited knowledge, that You love me. I know this fact Lord, because You gave Your son Jesus as payment for my sin. What a gift Jesus is to all mankind… through Him we have a way to You. Thank You for making the impossible in my life, possible!
