It Doesn’t Sound Crazy Anymore
Read: 2 Kings 9:14-10:31 & Acts 17:1-34 & Psalm 144:1-15 & Proverbs 17:27-28
Have you ever made a decision where you were completely uncertain of the outcome but you believed with all your heart it was the right thing to do? Have you ever acted on a gut feeling, but if you told someone about it they would call you crazy?
Paul, born of Jewish parents as Saul, most likely never anticipated the numerous mission trips he would take to spread the word of Jesus Christ. Many would say was Paul was crazy to be imprisoned and eventually to die for believing Jesus was the Messiah.
As believers in Christ, we are instructed to share what Jesus did on the cross with unbelievers. God places us in strategic places to carry out this responsibility. In Acts 17:22-23, Paul speaks to a group of idol worshipers who are desperate to learn more about the good news that he was preaching. Like Paul, we have opportunities every day to positively influence people and change their perception of Jesus.
The more we step out in faith, the more miracles we experience, the deeper our faith grows, the further we step out and the less crazy it all seems. Ask God who He would have you reach out to today.
