Is Anxiety Great within You?
Today, we’re continuing our special study on Psalm 94:18-19.
“When anxiety was great within me” ... Do negative thoughts sometimes rush through your mind? And you examine the problem every which way but still can’t find a solution?
In Greek, “cast” means to “throw upon.” You can draw near to God just as you are, no matter the state in which you find yourself ... Whether you painfully cast your anxieties at His feet with great effort, bring them to Him at arm’s length, or throw them upon Him, know this: God receives them! Come to Him with your anxieties because He cares for you. He has the solution to your problems because He is, Himself, the solution.
A happy heart, one filled with joy, in place of a heart filled with anxiety: that’s the exchange the Lord is proposing to you! Glory to God!
Today, draw near to God just as you are, sincerely trust Him with your anxieties, and ask Him for His joy and wisdom instead.
Let’s pray together…“Lord, I don’t want anxiety to be great within me any longer. I cast everything upon You. I lay it all down at Your feet. I release everything into Your hands. Thank You for the peace and serenity that I’m receiving right now from You. Thank You for upholding me with Your kind presence. In Jesus’s name, amen.”
