In Love, in Pain, in Grief, in Trouble...in Christ

Description

The most beautiful thing about being in Christ is that when we are in Him, this same Christ is in us.

We all find ourselves "in" something. Perhaps, you're in lovein painin grief, or in trouble. The word in is a small, but significant word. Those two letters pack a punch that can be life-changing—especially when we are found in Christ! By Webster's definition, the word is used to indicate that "someone or something belongs to or is included as part of something."

Imagine a clear, glass cup and pitcher. The pitcher is full, and someone pours its contents into the empty glass, filling it completely. The full glass can be used to satisfy someone's thirst, but eventually the glass will be empty again.

Now, picture someone placing the glass in the pitcher so it's completely immersed. You can still see the glass, but you notice the pitcher first. When water is poured, it comes from a much more extensive source. The capacity of the glass is no longer limited to itself. Because the cup is immersed, it resides in the capacity of the pitcher.

When we are in Christ, He is seen first in us. When we are in Christ, we can draw from much more than our own feeble resources. When we are in Christ, we live in the capacity of who He is, not just who we are.

The most beautiful thing about being in Christ is that when I am in Him, this same Christ is in me. That, according to the writer Paul, is the hope of glory! (Col. 1:27)

Where do you find yourself today? Are you in love, in pain, in trouble, in joy, in Christ? Are you experiencing the magnitude and daily benefits of being found in Christ? Explore those benefits and be immersed in their beauty!
